SIDE DISHES

Add some variety into the main course through these delicious side dishes

Patte

Our Haitian beef patties are whirred up for a filling in seasoned cabbage, onion, beef, pork or dry herring fish. These little first-course fillings are then sealed in dough and deep fried. Whether you want it to be spicy or not is your choice, but they are very aromatic and a nice start to any meal.

Marinade

Haitian marinades are spiced battered, & deep-fried. Three types of marinades are made in Haiti: fish, chicken, and vegetarian. We make them to your liking...with well seasoned flour paste. Yum.

Griot

Pork griot (pronounced gree-oh) is one of Haiti’s most loved dishes, and it’s easy to see why. Big chunks of pork shoulder are marinated in citrus and Scotch bonnet chiles, then simmered until very tender before being fried crisp and brown.

Pikliz

This bright and fiery Haitian condiment (pronounced "pick-lees") is traditionally served with meats and fried food to balance rich flavors. This dish is similar to coleslaw, but much more tastier! We mix cabbage, carrots, onion, habanero peppers (optional), and fresh lime juice, with our stable seasoning.

Plaintains

White Rice

Big chunks of pork shoulder are marinated in citrus and Scotch bonnet chiles, then simmered until very tender before being fried crisp and brown. This appetizer also comes with three fried plantains and pikliz (Haitian-style cole slaw).
